Sarawak’s Digital Fortress: Boosting Cyber Readiness in the Civil Service
KUCHING – In an era where digital advancements are matched only by the sophistication of cyber threats, the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) is taking proactive steps to fortify its digital defenses. With artificial intelligence rapidly evolving and consequently driving more complex cyberattacks, the call to strengthen digital readiness has never been more urgent.
Datuk Grace Huong, Director of the SCS Digitalisation Unit (SCSDU), highlighted the critical importance of these efforts. She pointed to a dedicated program, held from December 1-4, specifically designed to empower the SCS workforce. The core objective? To cultivate a highly capable team equipped to safeguard crucial government systems and protect sensitive public data from the ever-present dangers lurking in cyberspace.
This initiative underscores Sarawak’s commitment to not only embracing digital transformation but also ensuring the security and resilience of its digital infrastructure. As the digital landscape continues to shift, continuous learning and robust preparedness will be key in maintaining public trust and operational integrity within the civil service.
